WRITE TO YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE OR SENATOR

 

1. Click here to find out to locate your state representative and state senator. (you need to know your zip code +4, if you don’t click here)

2. Write a PERSONAL letter to your state representative/senator. If you are having trouble getting started, you may use this example, but MAKE SURE to personalize them. No one can tell your story better than you and your legislator will have a better awareness of the issue if you make your letter more personal.

3. Print 2 copies of your letter, one for your representative and one for the bill sponsor.  (this means you are sending a COPY of your letter to Rep. Lynn Wachtmann at 77 S High St, Columbus OH 43215– so he knows who is getting letters!) Address and mail both copies.

4. Email or call us to let us know you wrote a letter to your rep/senator and tell us who you wrote to, so that we can keep track of the number of letters that have been sent.

5. Ask a friend or family member to do the same!
